Check out this gorgeous 1939 Ford Deluxe Sedan Convertible Street Rod! This is one of only 3,500 total Sedan Convertibles built by Ford Motor Company in 1939. It is also the last year that Ford produced the Sedan Convertible. This amazing example came to us from a private collector. It was a no expense spared project with over $100,000 in build cost. It is an award winner, taking home the Goodguys Columbus Ohio PPG nationals "Sexy Sedan" Pick, and also featured in the Goodguys Gazette and Year Book.

The body still retains its original Steel Sheet Metal with no fiberglass used anywhere on the car. The only new metal is the addition of the Bob Drake reproduction steel running boards. The exterior has been treated to a show quality paint finish using PPG Delstar Base Coat / Clear Coat Ford Canyon Red. The top has been redone with Mercedes Benz Hartz Cloth Canvas Black Material.

Under the hood sits a new GM Performance 350ci V8 HO Crate Engine, connected to a TH350 Automatic Transmission and Ford 9' rear end with 2:73 gear. The chassis has been upgraded with a Mustang II Style Front Suspension Setup with Rack and Pinion Steering, and the rear suspension has been upgraded with Chassis Engineering Rear Leaf Springs.

Some nice upgrades include Vintage Heating and Air Conditioning, Bills Hot Rod Shop Powder Coated Air Conditioning and Alternator Brackets, Walker Cobra Radiator, Billet Specialties Pulleys and Air Breathers, Sanderson Ceramic Coated Headers, Moon Eyes Chrome Valve Covers and Air Cleaner, Edelbrock Endurashine Intake Manifold, Carburetor and Water Pump, MSD HEI Ingtion System and MSD Ceramic End Plug Wires, Lokar Polished Oil and Transmission Dipsticks, Electric In-Tank Fuel Pump, and new Painless Wiring Harness.

The interior and trunk compartment is completely custom, and highly detailed, featuring Kalahari Leather and with German Square Weave Carpet completed by a professional upholstery shop.
