The production of the Mercury Cougar began in 1966, slated as a 1967 model year, therefore this a first year model. This is an awesome early build (Nov. 1966) Cougar GT, S-Code 390, 4-Speed, Factory A/C car that needs nothing. This Cougar has undergone an extensive 2 year restoration, with less than 100 miles since restoration was completed. The complete drivetrain is Date Code Correct and believed the be the original drivetrain the vehicle was born with. Originally painted in Inverness Green Metallic with Light Ivy Gold Crinkle interior. Car is now painted in mirror like Black base coat / top coat, with matching Black Cougar interior. During the restoration, the car was stripped to bare metal before painted. Everything on this Cougar is either new or restored. This is the 50th anniversary of the Cougar and here is an opportunity to own one of the best!
