I started looking for a Cobra about a year ago, and was steered to Vanguard. I looked at several videos and countless pictures of stock vehicles and others that were sold. Finally made the decision to purchase and could not be happier with the level of service and professionalism at Vanguard. Tom, Dimo, Tracy, and Shelly made the experience very enjoyable and seamless. I was treated like family and never felt uncomfortable about any part of the transaction. Prior to receiving the vehicle I was sent a very cool video going over the car and maintenance info. What an awesome touch! My Cobra was delivered on 3/11 by Brett who is a really great guy with Muscle Car Transport. He unloaded the car and went over it with me to insure it was delivered in pristine condition. He insisted I take the car for a short ride and did a little video afterwards. An all around awesome experience from start to finish!! You can't go wrong with Vanguard. I would HIGHLY recommend them and I'll be back. Thank you all!

I recently purchased a 1965 Mustang from Vanguard. I did not have the opportunity to fly to Plymouth to inspect the car, which is always a risk. I did a thorough review of Vanguard online and saw that the reputation from current/former customers was pretty good, and figured they must be doing something right as a seller. Upon delivery of the car, I was very happy with the condition. It was described exactly how it was. There was a small oversight (small pen mark on passenger seat) which I addressed to Tom. His immediate response was, if you cant get it out....get the seat redone and we will pay for it. I was in shock. Perhaps its because I'm from New York where most dealers would tell you to F*** yourself post purchase, but that certainly wasn't the case with Tom and his team. Additionally, upon having the vehicle for about a week, and driving it locally, I noticed that the carburator was struggling to receive gas from the fuel pump. After calling a mechanic in, it was decided that both the carb and the fuel pump should be replaced (both were in good condition, but were malfunctioning) upon speaking with Tom, again his response was, get an estimate and send us the bill. Folks, this is unparalleled customer service. I was NOT expecting that response (I actually wasnt even calling to ask him to pay for it) but the offer was accepted. The guys at Vanguard are unbelievable. I would without a shadow of a doubt purchase from these guys again. I cant tell you how happy I am with the responsiveness and willing to make things "perfect" for me. I purchased this car for my father (who has stage 4 cancer) and wanted him to enjoy driving a classic while he still has his health. Without Tom and his crew, and their willingness to go above and beyond..This is now possible. Thank you guys for everything you have done. My next purchase will be a Bel Air from you.. And this time, I will be less aggressive in negotiating a price, and let you make some money back. If there was 6 stars to give on reviews, I would.

I've been following Vanguard Motor Sales for the past 3 years. Watch them online like my favorite t.v. show. Recently I purchased the most beautiful 67 Camaro SS with RS rally stripes (mountain green, rotisserie restored...dressed to the nines) with a 396ci and demon carb. Yes, I'm extremely proud. I looked all over the country for this car, and located a few that were very nicely restored and drivable machines. Thing is, I couldn't trust the sellers. I always knew that if I were to purchase a classic, it would come from Vanguard. Why, because I vetted this company for 3 years while following the; as well, I am a board member of the Better Business Bureau, and as a board director that monitors ethical and unethical activity, I knew through my own internal research, that Vanguard is without question the most trusted and professional classic dealer in the country. For future buyers, the sale doesn't end when they park the car in your driveway; Tom is there for you with answers to your questions 24/7....just like what you hear in their videos. I had a new 1970 Z28 when I was in high school, unfortunately it was stolen about 8 months later. When I started looking for another Z28 online it was very intimidating, there are so many scams and misrepresentations when purchasing on the internet. There are not many of these cars for sale that have been fully restored, I found Vanguard Motor Sales and saw 2 beautiful cars. I contacted Tom and felt very comfortable with him, so I scheduled a trip from Tucson AZ to check out the car. The hospitality I received from being picked up at the airport, taken to our hotel, Dimo picked up the next morning to take my wife and I to there dealership. I was blown away by the whole experience and was not disappointed when I looked at the beautiful blue 1970 Z28. Of the 100 or more pictures and the video that I looked at a zillion times when I saw it in person it was even better. The quality of the restoration is second to none! Vanguard added a few things to the car before it shipped out today, I am sooo excited to receive it!!! No matter what classic car you are looking for, Vanguard Motor Sales is the place to go!

Had an old school hot rod that I wanted to get rid of, there was no market for it where I lived. I searched for places that specialize in cars of this type. That’s when I came across Vanguard. I called them and explained my situation, sent them some pictures and they offered to buy it. They sent a buyer to look at the car, we both settled on a price that worked for both parties. A couple of days later they had a trailer there to pick it up. One I got them the title, I got the funds we agreed upon. Very good communication, and nice people to work with. Would definitely recommend them!

I have been looking for a 1965 GTO for almost a year. I had used a multi-pronged search approach, including Internet for private and dealer sales, the auction circuit, and car shows. Although I owned a 65 a long time ago, I tried to obtain as much information about the car as I could, including applicable Pontiac websites and hard copy reference material. The more I learned and re-learned, the more selective I became with respect to finding the right car. My objective was to buy a runner, not a collector car. I wanted one in excellent condition with a specific color palette in mind. As the year progressed, I passed up, and missed out on a few cars that might have been a keeper, but undaunted kept the effort going. In mid November of last year, I found a web listing for 65 in the Vanguard Motor Sales website. What was interesting is that I did not recall seeing any cars listed on the Internet by this dealer. As soon as I saw the car in an enticing video presentation, I promptly placed a deposit. My son and I drove nine hours from New Jersey to Vanguard’s showroom in Plymouth, Michigan. A staff member showed us the car and allowed a floor inspection. Although I restored a Corvette and my son graduated with a degree in auto mechanics and restored a Mustang, we were instantly impressed with the car which showed better than the video. After the inspection and two test drives, we decided to purchase the car with no reservation. Tom Photsios, Vanguard owner introduced himself who made us feel welcome by engaging in a friendly and personal conversation. We asked about several minor observations gleaned during inspection that Tom indicated would be fixed at no extra charge. Delivery was arranged by Vanguard included in the purchase price, which we saw as another customer perk. Prior to delivery of the car, I received a short video from Vanguard showing the car in all its glory prior to shipment. What a surprise! Upon receipt, a short inspection revealed all the punch list items identified during the inspection were addressed. As you can see, the customer experience at Vanguard was first rate for us. Beginning with the candid web ad to delivery day, the entire experience was a pleasure. We as car enthusiasts know that any 60 year old vintage muscle car is bound to come with a few surprises, however, we are convinced the folks at Vanguard made a terrific effort to present this car factually, and in the interest of the customer. Praise and thank you to all the folks at Vanguard for a wonderful vintage car shopping experience.

It’s always hit or miss when purchasing a car on line and you really don’t know what you’re going to end up with once it delivered. Vanguard has taken it to a new level whereas they provide as much detail they can in video, photos and history of the car so that the buyer can make an informed decision for purchasing. Vanguard sales team was professional, helpful and easy to work with. The only downside I experienced was slow delivery but overall great job. This was my first purchase with Vanguard and planning on another in the near future
